Reaching the “I am” state

By: Dr. Zach Bush
Recognizing and feeling the I am state for the first time is a truly transformational experience.
When you reach it, you can wholeheartedly embody: I am in complete resonance with my soul and my soul’s purpose. I am in harmony with the divine. I am transformed. I am healed of my human trauma that stems from the long held belief of separateness. I am capable of feeling these feelings by tapping into the uniqueness of the I am state.
At the moment of first recognition of this experience, you shift perspective across all sectors of personal identity to finally feel your sense of purpose. The discovery of the I am state is one of self acceptance, one that feels like coming home. One that has the power to shift your whole mentality.
When you arrive at the I am state, you land in a psychological space of knowingness, with the ability to see more and uncover more opportunities than ever before.
You lose the scarcity mentality to find yourself in an absolute state of abundance.
You come into coherence with your original waveform of self — the original eminent light being. You realize you are a light being — a soul that emanates life within this biologic matrix of a human body, expressing and witnessing beauty within and around you.
You arrive in a spiritual realm of the invisible space, becoming so much bigger than anything you’ve ever experienced before. You can feel how extraordinarily magnificent it is that you are an energy field hovering between the ethereal quality of the sun, soil, and plants that feed you. You realize you’re called to be in a body as an expression of divine beauty, residing within a thin strip of biology that populates a tiny percentage of the Earth — a finite spec in a vast universe. This is where you chose to show up at a tipping point of consciousness of a vulnerable species that is struggling to understand its identity in the context of our nature and the intelligence of the divine.
You are a direct, divine relationship to source that eliminates the toxicity and pressure of the epigenetics around you as the entire slate is cleared through surrender. Once you reach the state of I am, you are in a space of coherent resonance that can erase disorder, disease, and trauma. Cancer cells are destroyed and the memory of autoimmunity vanishes. You realize any list of disorder or disease is not you — you are something much more beautiful and powerful than any list Western medicine could possibly hand you. You see yourself as a divine being, expressed in the context of a world, a society, and a humanity that’s unplugged from its natural state of being.

How do you arrive at I am?
The path to the I am state looks different for each of us, but the mechanisms along the way can be very similar. It all comes down to listening and being still as you travel towards a moment of divine nurture and divine acceptance of who you are, where you are, and how you got there.
This is the moment when you realize your journey is perfect.
Reaching this state doesn’t require three hours a day of meditation, but rather, it can happen in a split second simply by sitting still and listening. No matter how long it takes, you’ll know you’ve reached this state when you remember how to come back into your energetic resonance state where you simply express self. This will feel like joy.
An ancient saying goes like this, ‘one minute in joy is more powerful than 1000 hours of meditation’…
To get to this flow state, it doesn’t necessitate working harder. It means surrendering faster and remembering you are in a current of energy that is taking you towards your highest path. Are you willing to walk through the doors that open before you as your authentic self, being at your highest joy in being alive as you.
The more you cling on to the rocks you bump into and the roots at the edge of the river, the more you identify yourself with the hard, unmoving objects around you, the more you try to resist change and resist the current you’re stuck in, the more wasted energy you achieve and the more exhausted you become. The goal is to learn to let go into the flow of life that is inherently taking you toward the fulfillment of your contract within this body. You are going to get there regardless. We should learn to laugh and dance in the flow on the way to that ultimate rebirth.
Don’t wait for the moment of death
Through my hospice work with thousands of bodies and souls, I have repeatedly witnessed those last few moments of life in which we all realize the journey was perfect. The purpose of winding and often broken pathways becomes evident. Any deep insecurities or feelings of estrangement suddenly resolve as the veil thins, and we can finally see the journey and destination was exactly that which was ordained. We arrive despite, and perhaps as a result of, the very frictions, dysfunctions, disorders, and diseases that we believed to be failures along the way.
Here we are, at the right moment, on our path. They’re fully accepted and fully loved. The divine is within them, and they are home.
So why wait? If you can arrive in this space of flow freedom before letting go of this body to experience death — that is a rebirth, an expansion, a beautiful unfolding of something much greater than a human body could ever manifest. If death itself can be a rebirth through the ultimate surrendering of these bodies, what a glorious thing life could be if we would embrace this perfect winding journey of life and take on the opportunity to be reborn everyday as we let the old thoughts and things wash away.

We have the opportunity to surrender faster. We may even teach our children to surrender into the flow of the universe and to take joy in the creative journey with the divine that is expressed through beauty in all things. We can ask the right questions that enable us to arrive closer to the I am flow state of being alive, being in thrive, and being witness to beauty on all the fractal levels.
What came to you today? How did you react to that? What did you decide to manifest in your flow of the energy? What did you expect to see? What did you see? Was there a disconnect between those? Are you letting go of the concept of need and starting to walk into the concept of abundance?
These are the tools we can begin to practice together with our children, our peers, and our elders. No matter what position we stand in — whether we are hiking a trail up a 14,000 foot mountain or laying in bed with chronic fatigue — we can, at any point in our lives, learn to embody the quietness and stillness that will lead us to the deeper beauty within human life and knowingness.
Our entire neurologic systems are wired for the reception of the neurologic experience of beauty. The purpose of achieving I am is to become witness to that beauty. Within that beauty, we can find ourselves and discover we are exquisitely beautiful light beings expressed through these physical shells.
Take the time to practice for a few moments each day the art of sitting still. Learn to let go and trust in yourself so you can find a new canvas to paint your I am on. Let’s raise the joy as we laugh, dance and shine in the Journey we have marked on all together.
In Reverence,
