This film series explores scientific findings from Zach Bush MD and soil health expert Dr. Allen Williams of Soil Health Consultants, LLC that identify the root cause of the current chronic disease epidemic and its connection to chemically dependent agricultural practices.
This film features the trials, learnings and victories of the four generation Breitkreutz family from Stoney Creek Farm transitioning from conventional farming to regenerative agriculture in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Using conventional methods they saw their soils degrade and their input costs rise every year. Transitioning to regenerative practices has helped their row cropping operation and significantly reduced their input cost for their cattle. This film tells the story of how they did it.
‘Farmer’s Footprint’ is a documentary series as well as grassroots movement. Over the last 20 years we have seen a dramatic change in the demographics of chronic disease in the US. The epicenter of these epidemics has become the southern states along the Mississippi River. Independent research from private and university laboratories around the world have begun to implicate glyphosate as a primary culprit. Glyphosate is the active ingredient in the ubiquitous herbicide ‘Round Up’ that has infiltrated the majority of our food, water, air, and rainfall.
Our film series will address the science of glyphosate’s impact on human health, both through the lens of the medical findings from Dr Zach Bush and through the human stories illuminating the health and economic impact on farmers and communities. In addition, we intend to highlight the intrepid individuals that are paving a path to a cleaner future for our water and our children while working away from chemical dependency and towards regenerative agriculture.
